BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Publicity Club of New England, the region’s oldest not-for-profit public relations trade organization, today announced that WBZ-TV News Anchor David Wade will host the 2012 Bell Ringer Awards ceremony on Monday, June 4, 2012 at the Westin Waltham Boston.
David Wade is a multiple award-winning journalist who co-anchors WBZ-TV News’ weekday newscasts at 4:30AM, 5AM, 6AM and Noon with co-anchor Paula Ebben, Meteorologist Melissa Mack and Reporter David “Robi” Robichaud. A Massachusetts native raised in Somerville, Wade most recently worked at Boston’s WFXT-TV where he was a weekday anchor. He joined WFXT-TV in 1998 and spent four years as a general assignment reporter before being named anchor.
Over the course of his distinguished broadcast career, Wade has been nominated for 20 Boston/New England Emmy Awards and has won 17 including three for Best Anchor. He has also received the award for Best Reporter, and four awards for Best News Writing. In addition, he won an Associated Press award in 2002.
