Global Knowledge Students Learn to Implement Cisco IOS Network Security

New course prepares students for CCNA Security certification exam

CARY, N.C.--()--Global Knowledge, worldwide leader in IT and business training, today announced the availability of a new Cisco security course, IINS 2.0 – Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security. Students in the five-day course will learn to implement Cisco IOS network security and prepare for the CCNA Security certification exam 640-554 IINS.

In IINS 2.0 – Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security, students will examine the necessity of a comprehensive security policy and how it affects the posture of the network. They will learn how to analyze and mitigate attacks and how to perform basic tasks to secure a small branch type office network using Cisco IOS security features available through web-based GUIs and the CLI on Cisco routers and switches.

Global Knowledge course writers significantly enhanced the standard IINS 2.0 course materials and lab exercises to cover vital security topics, including:

  • Self-signed certificate management in IOS routers
  • Spoof mitigation with Unicast reverse path forwarding
  • Route table protection with route authentication
  • Ethical hacking
  • GRE over IPSec

Students will receive five extra e-Lab credits to review a topic after class, refine skills, or get in extra practice.

IINS 2.0 – Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security is available in classrooms, live over the Internet in a virtual classroom, and as a private on-site course that can be tailored to the needs of a student's organization. Learn more about IINS 2.0 and explore the extensive catalog of Cisco training available from Global Knowledge at www.globalknowledge.com.
