NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Grammy Award-winning pop and R&B phenomenon, MELANIE FIONA, has released her highly-anticipated album, THE MF LIFE, to stores and digital retailers via Title 9/SRC/Universal Republic Records on Tuesday, March 20th.
The record boasts collaborations with various heavy hitters such as NAS, John Legend and B.o.B, with A-level production including Salaam Remi (Amy Winehouse), Drake, No ID (Kanye West, JAY Z, Rihanna), and Rico Love (Usher, Beyonce).
FIONA’s current hit single "4 AM" and upcoming single “This Time” (featuring J Cole) have already received critical acclaim. Each track on the album represents a different facet of FIONA. Appealing to listeners across the spectrum of genres, her strong and sultry voice guides this diverse and dynamic work of art with poise and power.
In the coming weeks, the songstress is set to celebrate the album's release with numerous high-profile television performances. On March 20th, FIONA will appear alongside The Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Then, she will team up with J Cole to debut their collaboration "This Time" on the Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno on March 23rd. Other confirmed appearances include a performance on LIVE! With Kelly on April 2nd.
In addition to the previously mentioned TV appearances, FIONA is set to stream a live performance on FUSE Music Television Network directly from their studio in New York City on Wednesday, March 21st at 12:30PM ET. Performing songs off her new album The MF Life, as well as favorites from her 2009 release The Bridge, “Fuse Live: The MF Life with Melanie Fiona” will be live streamed on Fuse’s YouTube channel (youtube.com/fuse). An exclusive performance from Fiona’s performance will also be featured on Fuse cable network’s weekly show “Hoppus on Music,” hosted by blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, airing on March 29th at midnight.
THE MF LIFE hits stores right on the heels of the artist's very first Grammy win in February. She won 2 of music's highest honors for the smash hit she co-wrote with Cee Lo Green, "Fool For You." The duo achieved Grammy Awards for both "Best Traditional R&B Performance" and "Best R&B Song."
