Teleflex Signs Regional Anesthesia Agreement with German Asklepios Hospital Group for ambIT® PCA Pump

LIMERICK, Pa.--()--Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE:TFX), a leading global provider of medical devices for critical care and surgery, has announced a four-year contract with the Asklepios Hospital Group for the ambIT PCA pump, which is distributed by Teleflex. The Asklepios Hospital Group includes more than 100 health facilities with more than 18,500 beds.

Teleflex’s regional anesthesia products allow clinicians to control pain during and after surgery and help lessen the risk of cardiovascular and pulmonary complications. Prepared for any eventuality, each product is designed to focus on clinical efficiency and therapeutic efficacy.

The ambIT PCA pump is an electronically controlled PCA pump that allows the patient to be mobile while receiving care. The pump also can be taken home for independent pharmacological management. The ambIT Ambulatory Pain Control Systems from Summit Medical provide flexible, accurate and safe therapy-specific configurations and low cost-in-use infusion pumps and accessories for the management of post-operative pain.

“The contract is a great success for growing Teleflex’s European anesthesia business, which is in line with our global strategy. By entering into a partnership with the Asklepios Hospitals, we combine excellent clinical care with innovative products,” said Liam Kelly, President, Teleflex EMEA.
