Research and Markets: Chile Country Report. The Evolution of the Chilean Economy Up to the Present Time

DUBLIN--()--Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/b94905/chile_country_repo) has announced the addition of the "Chile Country Report" country profile to their offering.

This report draws from published academic material in the social and political sciences, economics and international relations and attempts to explain in layman's language the evolution of the Chilean economy up to the present time.

The main emphasis is on the industrialisation model that Chile was following from the 1930's up to the 1970's and how this interacted with its political system and its social structure to give rise to the left wing Government of Allende in 1970 that was followed by the Pinochet coup in 1973. The report then looks at the economic changes introduced under the Pinochet regime and how these involved a fundamental alteration of Chile's industrialisation model and international insertion. It then looks at the transition back to a democratic system in 1990 and the political basis for the support of the new economic model and its future prospects.

This report, therefore, is about long term fundamentals rather than a short term forecast.
