PARIS--()--Switzerland-based Sterilos Group today unveiled Sterilos Antimicrobial Air-Conditioner & Duct Sealer, a revolutionary new product for the HVAC industry that creates antimicrobial surfaces in air-conditioning systems and ductwork. The product eliminates 99.9% of a wide spectrum of of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, molds and fungi. Sterilos Antimicrobial Air-Conditioner & Duct Sealer offers a safe and long-lasting solution for keeping hospitals, schools, offices, shops, restaurants, homes - and the people we care about - free of harmful microbes.

Sterilos Antimicrobial Air-Conditioner & Duct Sealer utilizes a simple yet ground-breaking process that has been perfected from years of intensive R&Dwork and collaboration with Germany's renowned Fraunhofer Society and Max Planck Institute. The eco-friendly product harnesses the natural properties of micro-scale silver - not harsh chemicals or antibiotics that invariably create resistant and dangerous strains of germs. Sterilos Microsilver is active ingredient in Sterilos Antimicrobial Air-Conditioner & Duct Sealer, as well as in all of the company's antimicrobial products.

'We believe that Sterilos Microsilver products, such as our new Antimicrobial Air-Conditioner & Duct Sealer, have the potential to add significantly to our quality of life by making our interior spaces safer and healthier for everyone,' said Bodo Schenk, Sterilos Group Sales Director. 'We are effectively eliminating the surfaces where dangerous organisms have the opportunity to survive, proliferate and cause us harm. Our products are proven to be effective against germs that are resistant to multiple antibiotics, and they offer long-term antimicrobial protection that is non-toxic and kind to the environment,' added Schenk.

The Sterilos Microsilver compound has the remarkable advantage of its ability to swiftly bind with many commonly used building and building-care materials, such as paints and varnishes. This makes the products easy and convenient to apply and makes nearly every surface one that can be protected from harmful germs.

'Two more convenient benefits of our Microsilver products are that sanitising is immediate and they can be applied at any stage, even after a building is finished or in operation by just painting it on.'

Sterilos Microsilver has been tested and approved to be effective in stamping out microorganisms when applied to walls, drywall/sheetrock, wood and metal, as well as metal building components such as beams, pipes, trim, screws and even small items, such as nails.

The newly launched Sterilos Antimicrobial Air-Conditioner & Duct Sealer is a special treatment targeted at environments that are especially favoured by many harmful bacteria, e.g. in air-conditioning units, heating and cooling ducts, cooling towers, etc.

'This new sealer from Sterilos is a no-brainer product that can and should be applied to vulnerable areas of new and existing air-conditioning systems,' commented Schenk. 'This is one of the most important steps that a building manager or home owner can take to protect their property from being a breeding ground for harmful microorganisms.' 'We are showcasing Sterilos products to the region at Paris Interclima. Everyone interested in indoor air quality and safety, such as healthcare professionals, interior designers and builders will be able to see for themselves the power of the innovative Sterilos product line. Indeed, we will be available to offer specific advice on practical solutions that will give them powerful tools to protect themselves and their community environments from germs, bacteria, odours and moulds. These can all be a thing of the past,' concluded Schenk.
