NEW YORK & LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jefferies today announced the appointment of Michael Collinson as a Managing Director and European Co-Head of Consumer and Retail Investment Banking. Mr. Collinson will be based in the firm’s London office and will partner with Robert Foster, European Co-Head Consumer and Retail Investment Banking.

Mr. Collinson brings to Jefferies 18 years of experience and joins the firm from The Royal Bank of Scotland (and its predecessor ABN Amro), where he spent seven years and was a Managing Director in the Consumer Industries Group of the Global Banking and Markets Division, responsible for Consumer Products. Previously, he spent eight years at Credit Suisse First Boston in Europe focusing on mergers and acquisitions and capital raisings for leading Consumer companies. Mr. Collinson received his MSc from The London School of Economics and Political Science and holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degrees from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
