US Market-Entry Strategies for German IT, Telecom Companies to Be Spotlighted at Events in Munich and Darmstadt

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va.--()--US market-entry strategies for German technology and telecommunication companies will be highlighted at November events in Munich and Darmstadt.

On November 15, the Fairfax County (Virginia) Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) is sponsoring “Markteintritt USA: Chancen auf dem US-Markt für IT-und Telekommunikationsunternmehmen am Beispiel von Fairfax County, Virginia ” (Market Entry USA: Opportunities in the US Market for IT and Telecommunications Companies in Fairfax County, Virginia). The event at the Munich Technology and Entrepreneur Center will be presented by the Bavarian Information and Communication Technology Cluster (BICCnet).

On November 16, the FCEDA is sponsoring “Markteintritt USA: Chancen auf dem US-Markt für High-Tech Unternehmen” (Market Entry USA: Opportunities in the US Market for High-Tech Companies), which will be presented and hosted by IT For Work Unternehmensnetzwerk and IHK Darmstadt, the chamber of commerce for the Darmstadt region.

Günther Stodiek, director of the FCEDA’s European office in Munich, will speak on US market opportunities for IT and telecommunications firms. Mr. Mul will address the audience on Fairfax County as a US entry point for European technology firms. Click here for more event information.

More than 370 foreign-owned companies, including more than 200 from European countries, have a presence in Fairfax County. The FCEDA has had an office in Germany since 2000 and an office in London since 1998 to work with European companies interested in expanding in the US.

“We opened the German office to reach world-class technology companies, and these events are an excellent way for German companies to understand more about the opportunities here and the challenges of locating in the US,” said Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the FCEDA.
