TAIPEI, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October is a time of transition when all things open to change, and nowhere is that more evident than at Taiwan’s two leading green-theme shows which map the way forward. From across business, government and academia come an army of expertise to Taipei. They are joining two events that unite massive interest and enterprise to build a cleaner, green world.
These two events TiGiS (the third 2011 Taiwan Int’l Green Industry Show) and BuildInG Taiwan (Taiwan Smart Green City Expo) are jointly organized by TAITRA and Expo Union Corporation to showcase green business prospects, and display the best green achievements of Taiwan.
At TWTC Exhibition Hall 1 from Oct. 26th to 29th presents exclusive trade shows with a rare spotlight on green industry and green-friendly approaches to urban planning and development.
At BuildInG Taiwan visitors will gain a whole new perspective on Taiwan’s environmental technology, renewable energy, water technology and green building concepts. And with TiGiS and BuildInG Taiwan comes the Green Living Expo, sponsored by Taiwan’s National Environmental Protection Administration.
The 262 domestic and foreign suppliers at the shows will use 11,000 sq. meters to network green prospects to a turnout of buyers numbering in the tens of thousands. For the first time, the Bureau of Foreign Trade commissioned TAITRA and Expo Union Corporation to jointly organize BuildInG Taiwan—Taiwan’s first exhibition highlighting themes such as Building Technology and Total Solutions, Urban Planning, and the Internet of Things. Upholding its brand mission of “Enabling an Intelligent Planet,” exhibitor Advantech joined global partners to premiere the Intelligent Planet & Internet of Things Expo at BuildInG Taiwan.
Bridging Taiwan with the Global Market
“BuildInG Taiwan” profiles Information on Automation, Digital Healthcare, Intelligent Services, Digital Logistics, Industrial Communications, Machine Automation, Green Energy, and Intelligent Building.
Panasonic is the world’s No. 1 company in green innovation in the electronics. It’s at this venue where they showcase a full house of green solutions with their best green household appliances, electronics, housing services, and other related endeavors.
In addition Panasonic offers comprehensive solutions covering everything from design and construction to building materials and household appliances. Like many other exhibitors, they will be staging their best energy infrastructure and materials, green building solutions, and wastewater solutions, making this show a must-see event.
This year, many well known energy, environmental, and water tech firms have joined TiGiS. These include such big names as Giant Lion Know-How, Chung Hsin Electric & Machinery Mfg., Taiwan Power, Formosa Heavy Industries, TECO Electric & Machinery and the China Steel Group. With them are government agencies such as the Council of Agriculture, Water Resources Agency and Port Authorities will are also using the event to showcase the results of scores of state-supported or conducted environmental endeavors.
Theme Pavilions
Vast and varied industry themed pavilions dot the venue. The Bureau of Foreign Trade features its Green Living & Trade Week to promote Taiwan’s green products to assist Taiwan makers and innovators commercialize their breakthroughs in eco-protection technology.
This is where six winning technologies will be displayed for water treatment and equipment used in recycling. And nearby is the Taiwan Environmental Manufacturers Association pavilion that lets you check out the latest sophisticated water research.
There’s also the Wind Power Pavilion that covers Taiwan’s wind energy industry and Taiwan’s small & medium wind turbines which feature both small and large wind turbines and generator applications.
A world of difference!
Key global players are also waiting to show their best. Check out the best eight makers from the USA which the AIT (American Institute in Taiwan) has invited over. They include TYCO, the global name in fire protection and EtherWAN, a well-known fiber optic Ethernet product manufacturer. And with this ASOA (The American State Offices Association) will platform to the best achievements from each state.
In addition, Japan’s Interchange Association has a landmark first-ever Japan Pavilion where firms from nine related industries will exhibit the results of their massive green industry endeavors. Japan’s Interchange Association is also co-hosting product briefings and business meetings providing great networking and business opportunities.
Meeting Green at the Forum
During the shows three rare summits are being held on the exhibition’s second and third days.
The Taipei Summit focuses on ICT and Green Energy Applications in Architecture and explores the four major topics of New Energy Applications, Smart Grid, Outlook of the Next Generation Digital Home, and Intelligent Surveillance.
The Taiwan Smart Green City Summit spotlights intelligent green buildings and urban planning while the Green Summit opens insiders on business opportunities and related trends.
With this come several exciting events that are being held in conjunction with the Global Eco-labeling Network (GEN) Annual Meeting and Conference. This highlights global trends in green products and business prospects. There’s also the Taiwan Green Classic Award Ceremony, which selects and awards high-quality green products and services.
Sprouting Green at Product Launches
Daily new product launches will blossom from the main stage when exhibitors spotlight the key advantages of their products in brief sound bites. This is also where the Typhoon-Resistant Technology of Wind Turbine & Product Presentation takes place on the show’s final day.
To further spice up business the organizer has flown in noted environmental giants to join procurement meetings at the show. These include procurement staff from big firms such as Ecosolargy Inc., Genius Int’l PT, Petromat Int’l, Enol Group, Miejskie Przedsiebiorstwo Wodociagow I Kanalizacji S.A., Solar Gateway Africa (Pty) and Honeywell Building Solutions.
