TERMINALFOUR Continues Global Expansion with First African Client

- South Africa’s Rhodes University implements TERMINALFOUR’s Web Content Management software

- Win marks TERMINALFOUR’s ninetieth University client worldwide

DUBLIN--()--TERMINALFOUR, a leading Web Content Management (WCM) company, today announced that it has won its first African client - South Africa’s Rhodes University. TERMINALFOUR’s WCM solution will play a key role in the creation of Rhodes University’s new website which is at the heart of all its online communication activities.

This win marks another significant milestone in TERMINALFOUR’s international growth strategy as it enters new markets while continuing to grow market share throughout Europe and North America.

Rhodes University attracts students from South Africa, the continent and beyond. The University currently has approximately 7,300 students. To cater for a diverse student and staff population, its Alumni and other important external stakeholders, the university needed to enhance its online communication and create an interactive website that would provide personalised and up-to-date information, and enable effective and efficient stakeholder communication and engagement.

TERMINALFOUR Site Manager was selected due to its vast experience in higher education – ninety university clients to date. Its web content management system provided an easy-to-use platform for Rhodes University to update content on the website using approved workflows, and without the need to wait for the help of web developers or more technical staff. The higher education specific modules and integration with other student management systems were also key selection criteria.

The university now has a simplified online publishing process which enables information to be updated and changed quickly, creating better and more relevant communications.

Mr Francois Jacot-Guillarmod, Rhodes University IT Director said, “The streamlined implementation of TERMINALFOUR Site Manager, along with the simplicity of its use made this the obvious choice for us. When we looked around we found that TERMINALFOUR had an established and strong reputation in the higher education sector.

“Our website is a key communication tool for us, and the new dynamic site is one we are all proud of as we all contribute to its success.”

Piero Tintori, CEO and founder of TERMINALFOUR, said, “We now work with 90 universities and higher education institutions globally, helping them to improve their online communications. We have developed great insight into the needs of this sector and have a product that meets these growing needs and the ever changing requirements of the student population.

“Rhodes University marks our first African customer and our move into another new territory as we continue to extend our global reach. TERMINALFOUR Site Manager is firmly marking its place as the world’s leading web content management platform.”
