OUTSTANDING GROWTH IN CONSUMER AND TRADE AWARENESS
A study conducted by UK consulting firm, Wine Intelligence, has revealed that Ribera del Duero brand awareness among US consumers has increased 23% since the campaign’s launch in September 2009, and has achieved measurable impact on the U.S. wine market. 53% of trade professionals surveyed report that they have added Ribera del Duero wines to their portfolios as a result of the campaign. Despite tough economic conditions, an additional 87% of respondents also reveal that they feel highly optimistic about the growth of the Ribera del Duero category in the U.S.
The positive trends in the Ribera del Duero category are attributed to the region’s dynamic marketing campaign, Drink Ribera. Drink Spain, which reaches over 30,000 consumer and trade fans each week through the region’s online communities and events.
Prestige Spanish wine region Ribera del Duero launched its first U.S. promotional campaign – Drink Ribera. Drink Spain. – in August 2009 to broaden awareness among trade, media and consumers.
