BIRMINGHAM, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--September 2011 sees the launch and start of TBG Learning’s brand new Pre-Apprenticeship Routeway. The Pre-Apprenticeship Routeway programme has been designed specifically to give young people the skills and experience they need to gain employment or progress into further education.
Pre-Apprenticeship Routeway courses are practical and fun. Courses are delivered in our specially designed “vocational centres”. TBG has constructed themed classrooms that offer real life, hands on experience in industries that many young people want to go into, such as retail shops, hair salons, construction sites, catering. These real life environments give young people the opportunity to find out what it is like to work and gain the skills that employers are looking for in a practical way skills and get vital work experience.
With more than 2000 learners studying with TBG Learning each year, we have worked closely with employers and young people to meet the needs of young people and employers alike. In doing so we have brought our Pre-Apprenticeship Routeway provision and our Apprenticeship Division even closer together, to give learners with chance to move into an Apprenticeship or job, with one of the 1000’s of employer that TBG Learning has links to.
Abi Osho, Head of Skills Development at TBG Learning said: “We are all really excited to launch our new Pre Apprenticeship Routeway, our courses will give young people the opportunities to learn valuable work skills and gain the practical work experience which often stops them getting a job or going onto college. We know from our experience of working with young people, that one learning route does work for everyone. With this in mind our Pre-Apprenticeship Routeway offers young people four different course durations lasting 10, 12, 20 or 26 weeks depending on what is best for them.”
All Pre-Apprenticeship Routeway courses are FREE for young people aged 16 – 19 years old. Courses include Construction, Retail, Hair and Beauty, Business Administration, Childcare, Catering, Customer Service plus much more. Learners have the opportunity to improve their English, Maths and IT skills with the help and support of TBG Learning Staff.
