FRANKFURT, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tablet computers, powerful docking solutions, baby monitoring systems with integrated USB and video as well as locating systems with fall detector function – at IFA 2011 in Berlin, Germany, Hong Kong’s manufacturers will be presenting numerous new developments for home, office and leisure time.
At the combined stand organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), 28 exhibitors (2010: 55) will be present in Hall 26C (Stand 800). Another 33 companies (2010: 26) will be highlighting their products in a special showcase area.
Electronic products from Hong Kong continue to be in demand worldwide: The electronics industry contributed 56 % to Hong Kong’s exports in 2010. Overall, the metropolis exported electronic equipment and components of around USD 217 billion, an increase of 28 % in comparison to 2009. The most important export markets were China, USA, Japan, Taiwan, Korea and in sixth place Germany (2010: USD 4 billion, + 27 %). The growth also continued in the first half of 2011: At around USD 115 billion, total electronic exports rose by 14 %. Hong Kong’s manufacturers see further potential in the rising demand for tablet computers, smartphones, computer accessories with higher data transfer rates such as USB 3.0 as well as 3D and Blu-ray appliances.
From multimedia to valuable assistants
Marvel Digital Limited presents well-priced tablet computers with numerous multimedia applications. Their TBT-10C 7 mercury pad tablet provides amongst others USB connection and integrated camera.
