CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Psion (LSE: PON.L), a global provider of mobile computing solutions, today announced that several of its products have been recognized by Business Solutions magazine as Best Channel Products of 2011 in its August issue. Winners were selected by Value Added Resellers (VARs) participating in the publication’s annual survey. The Psion Omnii™ XT10 and Printabout MP2000 placed in the top five percent of all mobile computing products for their ruggedness and reliability.
Psion’s ranking is based on online survey results gathered from mid-May through early June 2011 from more than 1,400 verified Business Solutions magazine subscribers. VARs were asked to rate the products based on richness of features/functionality, product reliability/durability, ease of integration and upgrade, and the VAR’s ability to service. Scores were then calculated by Penn State University and Business Solutions to determine the top five percent of vendors in each category for the awards.
“Psion has become a mainstay on our list of Best Channel Vendors, so we were not surprised to see many of their devices among our Best Channel Products this year,” said Sue Bresee, publisher of Business Solutions magazine. “All three Psion devices rated well in all categories but earned extremely high scores in the durability and ease of use categories.”
“We pride ourselves on our open innovation approach to collaborating with our partners on our online community, IngenuityWorking, so this recognition of our products by the VAR community is an honor,” said Mike Jachimiec, vice president of Channel Sales at Psion. “We will continue to work with our partners to strengthen the level of product support and services that our VARs can offer to customers.”
