PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kirkpatrick Pettis Capital Management, a Davidson Companies independent registered investment adviser that serves as sub-adviser to the Aquila Tax-Free Trust of Oregon, announced today it has hired Timothy Iltz as vice president and municipal bond credit analyst.
Iltz will be responsible for the ongoing analysis of existing holdings of the Tax-Free Trust to ensure they meet client objectives and prospectus mandates. In addition, he will analyze Oregon municipal bond underwritings to recommend whether they should be included as part of the trust portfolio.
Iltz joins Kirkpatrick Pettis Capital Management after working as a vice president in fixed income banking for Wedbush Securities in Portland and previously with RBC Dain Rauscher. His fixed income experience includes the full spectrum of bond issues available to Oregon local governments, including: revenue bonds, certificates of participation, general obligation bonds, full faith & credit obligations, short-term notes and tax increment financings. He has also been a presenter to various industry groups on public finance related topics. Iltz has earlier experience in the securities industry with Salomon Smith Barney in Portland. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and business administration, with a minor in economics, from the University of Oregon.
Kirkpatrick Pettis Capital Management was selected as the sub-adviser to the Tax-Free Trust of Oregon in 2010.
