SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DR Systems, the leading independent provider of medical imaging and information systems, announced today that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued to the company a new patent, which relates to tracking portions of 3D medical imaging.
US Patent No. 7,920,152 describes a method of automatically tracking portions of a 3D medical imaging volume, such as the voxels, that have already been displayed according to user-defined display parameters, notating those portions, and providing the user with information indicating what portions of the imaging volume have been displayed according to the user-defined display parameters.
