TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mindshare Technology has implemented a state-of-the-art, analysis module that measures the risk to children based on 15 critical factors. Mindshare’s unique ability to merge mass amounts of information from different systems makes it possible to address the child welfare systems single most complex issue – the ability to assure ALL stakeholders are in the know at all times, especially since a child’s case can be handled by more than a dozen different individuals across different departments and social services agencies.
Mindshare’s system has been in use by lead Community Based Care agencies in Florida for more than three years. Its primary purpose has been to improve quality and productivity across case management staff. By providing real-time dashboards and reminder notifications, case workers can be kept abreast of required action items across their entire case load. Further, they are notified when certain areas of the case plan are out of compliance, late or incorrect.
Due to recent high profile cases that concluded in tragedy in Florida’s Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Hillsborough counties, Mindshare has re-prioritized the capabilities of its Child Protective Response Services (CPRS™), a managed service available to lead Community Based Care agencies and Care Management Organizations across Florida who are required to use Florida’s Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System. On a daily basis, Mindshare’s system consumes data from the State’s Child Welfare Information System, the County School Board, the Agency for Health Care Administration, and more. Information is prioritized, analyzed and structured into high risk, escalation dashboards where case management staff can view or receive automated alerts when critical thresholds are met.
Critical factors that are automatically analyzed for every single case, each day include but are not limited to the following:
• Prescribed Psychotropic medications • Placement disruptions • Number of workers involved in case • School absences • School Grade pattern • Allegations of maltreatment in care • Condition of Mom, Dad, and/or Caregiver
|
• Quality of Case Worker Visits • Input from Guardian ad litem • Timeliness and content of Case reviews • Status and timeliness of medical visits • Age, gender of child • Age, gender of caregiver
|
Based on a scoring mechanism, meaningful alerts are generated. Escalation paths are configured by the Community Based Care Agencies to assure that all case participants and stakeholders receive raised awareness of potential risk. Dashboards are populated, daily, with new information giving case management staff a refined and structured view of children or cases that may require increased oversight.
Mindshare is committed to persistent evolution of its Child Protective Response Services. With continued feedback from case and social workers, Mindshare is able to refine the business intelligence components of its analytics for expanded detection of risk factors and continued ability to measurably improve outcomes for children within the system of care. “Collaborating with the social service organizations is critical to success,” said Mindshare Chairman & CEO, Greg Povolny. “The ability to isolate and inject subject matter expertise that is generated from the very team that faces the family is an essential ingredient in using technology to assist in minimizing the gaps that currently exist in the system of care.”
