LIMERICK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE:TFX), a global provider of medical technology products, announced a global distribution agreement with Perouse Medical under which Teleflex will distribute the Perouse line of POLYSITE® intravenous implantable infusion ports.
With this agreement, Teleflex complements its Arrow vascular access product lines with a range of implantable infusion ports used for facilitating the administration of chemotherapeutics, related medications and fluids. The POLYSITE family, an established brand currently available in several European countries, includes a full range of port sizes, designs and catheter types. Perouse Medical is an innovative French company with over 30 years of experience, specializing in the development, manufacturing and distribution of medical devices used in Oncology, Cardiovascular and interventional imaging.
Teleflex expects to begin distribution in additional European markets in the current quarter and to expand distribution to other global markets, pending appropriate regulatory approvals.
Through its Arrow brand, Teleflex is one of the leading global providers of catheter-based vascular access solutions. The Arrow family of products includes the ARROWg+ard Blue PLUS® central venous catheters with Chlorhexidine-based technology and the recently introduced Arrow EVOLUTION™ PICC with Chlorag+ard™ antimicrobial technology.
