COLOGNE, Germany & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Klausner Technologies, Inc., the owner of the international Visual Voicemail (VVM) Patents, and mobile applications specialist Communology today announced the geographic expansion of their patent agreement. Communology will be able to now offer their VVM software with a built in patent license to all mobile operators in Europe, the U.S. and Canada.
The agreement also enables Communology to include its VVM patent license within its user activation licence fee structure, allowing operators using Communology’s mobile VVM applications to only pay for subscribers that have actually been activated to use their VVM service.
Klausner Technologies holds the U.S., Canadian, European and Asian patents for VVM - the new standard in voicemail – and has 33 current international VVM licensees. The popular mobile VVM application provides a graphic user interface to manage voicemails just as easily as SMS or emails. Communology is a leading VVM provider of mobile client software for a broad variety of platforms such as Android, Blackberry, Brew MP, Symbian and Qt, Windows Phone 7, Java ME, and others, as well as gateway and server infrastructure and professional services for technical implementation.
“We already supply mobile operators in Europe with everything they need to launch Visual Voicemail – including not only software technology and services, but also our inclusive VVM patent licences. With the new agreement, North American operators can now leverage the advantages of a one-stop VVM implementation,” says Thomas Kaehler, CEO of Communology.
Judah Klausner, President of Klausner Technologies, Inc.: “I believe that our new agreement with Communology makes it much easier for mobile operators in Europe and now in North America to offer Visual Voicemail services. The operators will now benefit from streamlined vendor relations, technology implementation, as well as simple user activation licensing fees.”
Alternative VVM patent license fee structures are available directly from Klausner Technologies for mobile operators and device manufacturers.
