REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Abiquo, the leading Enterprise Cloud Management software company, today announced the appointment of nine highly respected executives in the cloud computing industry to its rapidly expanding team. Each of the executives formerly held senior roles in leading cloud computing companies including VMware, Citrix and CA Technologies, and each has been attracted by Abiquo’s significant potential in the cloud computing market.
Wendy Perilli joins Abiquo as Global Vice President of Marketing. Perilli was formerly Director of Cloud Computing Product Marketing with VMware, and had key responsibility for the launch of VMware’s Cloud Computing initiative, known as “Project Redwood” which ultimately surfaced as VMware’s vCloud Director product (See Abiquo Lands Wendy Perilli as Vice President of Global Marketing, March 2011.)
David Piontek joined Abiquo as Vice President of Support and Services. Piontek brings over 20 years of successful sales and service experience, serving most recently as VP of Technical Sales for CA Technologies. Previously he spent five years as the VP and SVP of Global Services for Orchestria, and, prior to that, 14 years with Price Waterhouse, Price Waterhouse Coopers and finally with IBM Business Consulting Services.
Azmir Mohamed joins Abiquo as Senior Director of Product Management from VMware, where he was responsible for the VMware Server and VMware Data Recovery product lines, and for other, as yet unreleased, products. Previously, Mohamed spent 10 years at Cisco in a variety of product management and technical roles.
Jason Crocker joins Abiquo as Chief Engineer, and Nathan Tamblin as Chief Architect. Both come from CA Technologies where they held senior product development positions over the last 14 years, working on some of CA’s key enterprise software product lines.
Ted Lewis, Geoff Fahnestock, Jim Small and Peter Holgate all join as Senior Account Executives. Each is highly experienced in the Cloud Computing market with Lewis previously Regional Director of Sales at Appistry; Fahnestock, Enterprise Relationship Manager at Citrix; and Small, Sales Product Specialist at VMware. Holgate spent the last 7 years in various sales roles at Citrix, most recently in the Cloud and Data Center team.
