PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A rich selection of bible commentaries and study aids written by Dr. Bob Utley, retired professor of hermeneutics at East Texas Baptist University, is now openly available at http://site.ebrary.com/lib/etbu. Created by the university’s librarians using DASH!™, a complimentary feature of many of ebrary’s e-book products, the new site includes materials in English and Russian, with additional languages to be added in the upcoming weeks.
“We are thrilled to make this collection publicly available, and look forward to adding more documents using DASH!, a feature of our Academic Complete subscription,” said Cynthia Peterson, Director of Library Services, Mamye Jarrett Library, East Texas Baptist University. “With DASH!, we can easily upload files from our computers, and have them instantly come to life on the ebrary platform with full-text search and features designed for researchers such as InfoTools™, highlighting, annotating, bookshelves, and much more.”
“ebrary offers DASH! with many of our products to help libraries share important information around the world,” said Kevin Sayar, President and General Manager of ebrary, a leading provider of e-books and research technology. “It is exciting to see East Texas Baptist University use DASH! to provide open access to valuable biblical information. We encourage all of our customers who have DASH! to create and share collections with others as long as they have public domain materials or hold the copyright.”
With DASH!, libraries can upload multiple PDF files in a batch or upload individual files. Administrators can enter as much metadata as they wish and make edits at any time. Once in the ebrary system, documents are turned into a searchable database with all of ebrary’s powerful functionality including:
