Ameriprise Financial Mobilizes Employees, Advisors and Clients to Support Hunger-Relief Organizations Ahead of the Holiday Season

In 2026, Ameriprise granted $5 million to help support individuals, families and communities

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ameriprise Financial will mark its 17th annual Ameriprise Day of Service on Nov. 5, bringing together thousands of employees, advisors and clients to support hunger-relief efforts ahead of the holiday season. Working with Feeding America®, The Global FoodBanking Network, Meals on Wheels America and numerous local nonprofit organizations, volunteers will serve meals, sort bulk food donations, and host food drives, making a meaningful impact in communities where they live and work.

“Ameriprise Day of Service is a powerful example of what can happen when our employees, advisors and clients come together to help others,” said Jennifer Jones, Head of Community Relations at Ameriprise. “For 17 years, we have worked alongside nonprofit organizations dedicated to addressing hunger and strengthening communities. As food insecurity continues to affect many individuals and families, our volunteers are stepping up to help local partners expand access to meals during the holiday season.”

Since the inception of the Ameriprise Day of Service in 2009, the firm has helped provide more than 153 million meals and volunteers have contributed over 418,000 hours to hunger-relief efforts.

Ameriprise Supporting More than 180 Nonprofits in Communities across the U.S. in 2026

Complementing its companywide volunteer events, Ameriprise contributed more than $3 million in grants to 104 nonprofits in its second grant cycle of the year, supporting organizations that help meet essential needs, strengthen communities, and provide access to arts and culture. In total, the company donated more than $5 million and supported more than 186 nonprofits through its two grant cycles in 2026.

Ameriprise combines grantmaking, volunteer engagement and long-term relationships with nonprofits to help drive meaningful community outcomes. This year’s support spans hunger relief, housing and homelessness, the arts and other critical community needs. Examples include:

  • Feeding America: Through its longstanding partnership with Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization, Ameriprise provides grant support and volunteer engagement, including the annual Ameriprise Day of Service. Together, these efforts help strengthen the nationwide network of food banks, food pantries and meal programs working alongside communities to address hunger.
  • Meals on Wheels America: Increased support for Meals on Wheels America will help advance its End the Wait® initiative, which builds local capacity through investments in infrastructure, workforce development, volunteer engagement and technology. The Meals on Wheels network reaches 2.6 million older adults annually through more than 5,000 local providers.
  • Pine Street Inn: Pine Street Inn is the largest homeless services provider in New England, offering a comprehensive range of services to more than 3,100 individuals daily. Pine Street’s programs include housing with support services, emergency shelter, street outreach and workforce development.
  • Carnegie Hall: This year also marks the 15th anniversary of Carnegie Hall’s Musical Connections program, which Ameriprise has funded since its inception. Musical Connections is a music residency at Sing Sing Correctional Facility that provides workshops in composition, songwriting, and performance for incarcerated men.
