Nourish Shows Patients Completing 6+ Dietitian Appointments Achieve 2.3x Greater Weight Loss

New real-world data from Nourish demonstrates high-acuity patients engage more with the Nourish program, driving better metabolic outcomes

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nourish, the country’s largest dietitian-led metabolic health clinic, released a new whitepaper today demonstrating that high-acuity patients who engage more with the Nourish program achieve stronger metabolic outcomes.

Drawing from a real-world analysis of Nourish patients, the whitepaper highlights a clear dose-response relationship between engagement and outcomes: high-acuity patients who completed more appointments achieved greater weight loss and more significant reductions in A1c, reinforcing the value of sustained, personalized nutrition care in driving real results for this population.

Key findings include:

  • 2.3x greater weight loss for high-acuity patients completing 6+ appointments compared to those completing 1–2
  • 50% greater A1c reduction for high-acuity patients completing 4+ appointments compared to those completing 1–3
  • 1.7x more sessions for high-acuity vs. low-acuity patients at 24 months

These findings reflect the calibrated way in which Nourish approaches care, tailoring the level of support to match each patient’s diagnoses and complexity. All patients work with a registered dietitian, and when clinically appropriate, care plans also include lab testing, GLP-1 prescribing and medication management, and medical support for those who don’t already have access.

“We know metabolic disease is complex, and that the patients with the greatest clinical need often require more sustained engagement to see meaningful progress,” said Aidan Dewar, Co-Founder and CEO of Nourish. “This data provides evidence that the Nourish care model and our AI-native platform are keeping high-acuity patients engaged, and driving stronger outcomes as a result.”

As health plans face rising rates of metabolic disease, these findings underscore the value of care that drives engagement calibrated to clinical complexity. By pairing dietitian-led care with an AI-native platform, Nourish delivers this care at scale, improving patient outcomes and lowering downstream costs for patients and health plan partners.
