CAMDEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Water (NYSE: AWK), the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., announced today that it has been named on Forbes America's Best Large Employers 2025 list. The ranking is based on an independent survey of employees.

Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey more than 217,000 U.S.-based employees at companies with at least 1,000 employees. Companies with more than 5,000 employees were eligible for the category of large employers.

Survey respondents rated whether they would recommend their employer and evaluated other companies in their industries. All responses were analyzed alongside data from the past three years, enabling a thorough assessment of organizations that consistently performed well. This analysis prioritized more recent evaluations and feedback from current employees.
