Aspen Makes Board Appointments

HAMILTON, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited (“Aspen”) is pleased to announce the appointments to its Board of Christian Dunleavy as a Director and Michael Lagler as a Non-Executive Director. Both appointments were made with effect from March 17, 2025.

Christian Dunleavy is Group President and CEO Aspen Bermuda Limited, and responsible for the group’s underwriting strategy, claims and business development. Christian has over 25 years’ experience in (re)insurance, and joined Aspen in 2015 as Global Head of Property Cat Reinsurance, before being promoted to Group Chief Underwriting Officer in 2022.

Michael Lagler is a Private Equity Associate for Apollo Global Management (“Apollo”). He is based in London and focuses on private equity investments in insurance and financial services. Prior to joining Apollo, Michael was a member of the investment banking team in the financial institutions group and subsequently the mergers and acquisitions group at Perella Weinberg Partners.

Group Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, Mark Cloutier said of the appointments: “I am pleased to welcome Christian and Michael to the Board of Aspen.
