The 25th Annual Help For Children (HFC) New York Cocktail Gala Celebrates a Milestone Anniversary at The Metropolitan Museum of Art

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Help For Children (HFC), has transformed 1.2 million lives through 1,849 grants to 398 organizations since inception. We will recognize our rich history and unwavering commitment to our mission to prevent and treat child abuse in the communities we serve on Tuesday, May 20th, at the 25th Annual HFC New York Cocktail Gala to be hosted at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The event is co‐chaired by Jay Peller, Head of Fund Services at the Citco group of Companies (Citco) and Joe Fisher, Senior Lead Partner in KPMG's Alternative Investments Management Practice. The Steering Committee includes Dean Backer, Chairman of Global Prime Brokerage at Goldman Sachs; Rich Bello, Founder and CEO of Arootah and Co‐Founder of Blue Ridge Capital; Mike Vranos, Founder and CEO of Ellington Management Group; Jen Ancker Whelen of Graham Capital Management and Glen Dailey of Glen Asset Management, with other industry professionals coming together on the New York Committee of Hearts.

A global foundation with ten locations, HFC is funded by the generosity of the Alternative Investment industry and has invested $62.8 million in grants. In New York alone, HFC has granted nearly $26 million. "This anniversary Gala will celebrate our long‐standing partnership with the Alternative Investment industry which continues to support HFC’s efforts to protect and heal children. I'm incredibly proud to be President of HFC's Global Board, and I am grateful to our advocates who contribute their time and resources to our organization and cause,” said Dean Backer of Goldman Sachs. Proceeds from the event will be distributed in the Greater New York Metropolitan area.
