Scott Semmel Named Acorn Health Vice President of Payor Relations

CORAL GABLES, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Acorn Health, a leading national provider of applied behavior analysis (ABA) for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), has welcomed Scott Semmel as its new vice president of payor relations.

In his new role, Semmel will lead Acorn Health’s efforts to enhance partnerships with payors, state administrations and legislators, ensuring greater access to ABA therapy for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. With a focus on advocacy and innovation, Semmel will work to strengthen Acorn Health’s position within the ABA industry while prioritizing the needs of families served.

Prior to joining Acorn Health, Semmel held senior executive roles with Aveanna Healthcare, Epic Health Services and Maxim Healthcare Services.

Semmel holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from DeSales University and has more than 15 years of experience working in the health care industry. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley and as public policy committee chair for the Pennsylvania Homecare Association.
