CBIZ Appoints Six National Industry Leaders to Ensure Delivery of Tailored Expertise to Clients

CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CBIZ, Inc. (NYSE: CBZ), a leading national professional services advisor, today announced the appointment of six new national industry leaders, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing integration of Marcum, which became part of CBIZ in November 2024. These appointments, effective Feb. 1, 2025, reinforce CBIZ’s commitment to industry specialization and delivering tailored expertise to clients.

The newly appointed leaders and their respective industries are:

Michael Brooder – Technology & Life Sciences

Michael Brooder is a Managing Director in Hartford, Conn. Brooder has more than 30 years of experience reviewing and analyzing financial data for privately held and publicly traded companies in the technology and life sciences industry. He works with clients throughout their lifecycle from innovative emerging growth companies to public companies with his vision focused on finding the next disruptive technology or medical advancement. He has extensive experience with reporting requirements for publicly traded companies, including registration statements and 10-Q and 10-K forms.

Doug Fahrnow – Professional Services

Doug Fahrnow, a Managing Director in Indianapolis, has extensive experience in professional services, including professional employer organizations (PEOs) and consulting firms. As a leader at CBIZ, Fahrnow understands the importance of strong communication skills, critical thinking, data analysis and succession planning. In addition to the core services he provides, Fahrnow has a strong background in business acquisitions, profitability consulting and managing financial restructuring scenarios.

Seth Goldblum – Private Equity

Based in Philadelphia, Seth Goldblum is a Senior Managing Director in CBIZ’s Private Equity Advisory practice, leading the financial and operational consulting practice. With over 30 years of experience, he specializes in driving profitable growth and building long-term business alliances. His expertise includes business combinations, merger integration, executive counsel and overall business leadership. Goldblum’s extensive experience and vision have positioned clients for exceptional success, delivering optimal results across financial and operational initiatives.

Julie Jones – Not-for-Profit & Higher Education

Julie Jones is a Managing Director in Washington, D.C. With a career focused exclusively on not-for-profits spanning nearly 30 years, Jones brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, insight, and value to her clients. A leader in CBIZ’s Client Accounting & Advisory Services practice, she is a driving force for creating a culture of collaboration, innovation and growth for the company. Michael Sacco – Consumer & Industrial Products

Michael Sacco is a Managing Director in New York City and is responsible for managing CBIZ’s growing consumer and industrial products practice. Abe Schlisselfeld – Real Estate

Abe Schlisselfeld is a Senior Managing Director in New York City. As the CBIZ real estate national leader, Schlisselfeld advises commercial real estate owners, developers, management firms and real estate investment trusts (REITs) on all facets of taxation. He has explored the tax benefits and implications of the Qualified Opportunity Zones program since its introduction in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, making him a sought-after speaker on the topic.
