Securian Financial Launches Accident and Critical Illness Insurance Products for Affinity Market

ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Securian Financial has launched two supplemental health insurance products—accident insurance and critical illness insurance issued by Securian Life Insurance Company—tailored for distributors to market to customers of affinity organizations, including financial institutions and associations.

Accident insurance provides a lump-sum cash benefit to individuals and families following injuries due to unexpected accidents, helping to cover medical expenses not covered by major health insurance, lost income or other financial burdens. Similarly, critical illness insurance offers financial support upon the diagnosis of serious medical conditions, such as cancer, heart attack or stroke. Both products are designed to fill gaps left by traditional health insurance, offering peace of mind during life’s unexpected challenges.

“Our accident and critical illness insurance products provide meaningful benefits to help build secure tomorrows for today’s customers,” said David Seidel, Securian Financial’s U.S. head of Affinity Solutions. “We’re providing our distributors and affinity organizations with these new products to enhance customer value and foster deeper loyalty by addressing the unmet insurance needs of so many Americans.”

Securian Financial’s accident and critical illness insurance products are built with flexibility in mind. Features may include different underwriting options, along with single, spouse and family coverage offerings. Additionally, turnkey or customizable plan design options are available—enabling affinity organizations to align coverage with the specific needs of their customers.

“We are dedicated to being a trusted partner for distributors and affinity organizations,” added Seidel. “Securian Financial is committed to investing in products and services that help our partners make a tangible difference in their customers’ lives.”
