TARA Mind Launches Free Provider Training to Advance Clinicians' Expertise in Life-Saving Mental Health Therapies

MCLEAN, Va.--()--TARA Mind, a leader in transformative mental health benefit solutions, has announced the launch of its free on-demand virtual Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT) training for mental health professionals. This initiative is designed to equip therapists with the knowledge and tools needed to deliver safe, effective, and life-changing KAT. The program underscores TARA Mind’s commitment to expanding access to innovative mental health treatments while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care through its world-class provider network.

The virtual program offers comprehensive training on enhanced diagnostics, preparation, and integration techniques, emphasizing best practices, safety protocols, and patient-centered approaches. With the growing demand for effective treatments for conditions such as Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD), TARA Mind aims to bridge the gap between cutting-edge therapies and the education necessary for their responsible implementation.

“Access to psychotherapists properly trained in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy is absolutely essential to realizing the full benefits of ketamine treatment, including lasting recovery from depression and trauma,” said Richard Nockowitz, M.D., Chief Medical Officer of TARA Mind. “This was the driving force behind the creation of TARA Mind's KAT Training Course, and why we're making it available to qualified therapists at no cost.”

“Launching our free KAT training for psychotherapists is a milestone in our journey to make effective mental health care accessible through workplace benefits,” said Marcus Capone, Co-Founder and CEO of TARA Mind. “This program reflects our commitment to giving professionals the knowledge they need to deliver life changing mental healthcare to those who need it most.”

The training program has already received positive feedback from participating providers.

“The no-cost training and resources from TARA Mind are invaluable for growing the clinical expertise of the therapists within my practice without increasing our practice overhead,” said Kate DeStefano-Torres, MA, LPC, Founder and Director of Artemis Center for Guidance in New Jersey. Additionally, the training is being used by physicians administering ketamine to train new staff and build out preparation and integration services in-house.

The free KAT training is available to licensed therapists nationwide. It emphasizes evidence-based approaches that ensure a high level of clinical oversight and align with TARA Mind’s collaborative care model.
