WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. & BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Johns Hopkins Medicine has signed an agreement with Caregility to implement the Caregility Cloud™ virtual care platform and inpatient telehealth devices. The collaboration will support the rollout of the health system’s Virtual Nursing program and broader care modernization strategy. Under the partnership, Johns Hopkins will work with Caregility to enable remote engagement and collaboration at patient bedsides in four hospitals, including The Johns Hopkins Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center, Sibley Memorial Hospital, and Suburban Hospital, with plans for additional expansion in 2025.
Johns Hopkins selected Caregility after an extensive evaluation. As part of the inpatient virtual care initiative, the health system seeks to improve employee retention and bedside support through Virtual Nursing. Caregility telehealth solutions will integrate with the health system’s Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR), enabling Johns Hopkins Medicine clinical staff to launch and field virtual visits with patients from within their native workflows. Virtual nurses will support bedside teams by performing routine care tasks, including but not limited to admission assessments and discharge education.
“We are honored and excited to contribute to Johns Hopkins Medicine’s longstanding legacy of outstanding patient care,” said Ron Gaboury, CEO of Caregility. “With the ability to support concurrent remote workflows, our telehealth devices will allow Johns Hopkins Medicine care teams to perform multiple virtual care tasks simultaneously, building on the health system’s tradition of pioneering innovative care models that advance healthcare delivery.”
