Atrium Hospitality’s 2024 Management-Level Talent Trends Snapshot
- Management-Level Internal Promotions: Internal promotions represented 40% of the management-level positions Atrium filled in 2024, up from 35% in 2023. The majority (83%) of Atrium’s 2024 management-level internal promotions were for on-property roles, and 17% were for corporate positions.
- Management-Level New Hires: In 2024, Atrium welcomed best-in-class external talent into the company, representing 60% of the management-level positions filled by Atrium. Most (88%) of our company’s management-level new hires supported on-property jobs, and 12% joined corporate roles. The 2024 percentages are similar to Atrium’s 2023 management-level new hires of 87% for on-property and 13% for corporate roles.
- On-Property Focus: The hotel areas of accounting, engineering and sales represented the greatest demand for Atrium’s recruitment efforts for on-property management-level internal promotions and new hires.
- Corporate Focus: Accounting/finance and sales functions demonstrated the highest growth for corporate management-level internal promotions and new hires with Atrium.
Taking a Whole Approach to Supporting Individual Hotel Career Journeys
To successfully attract talent and reduce staff turnover in 2024, Atrium emphasized an enhanced employee experience, expanded career pathing programs, technology-driven recruitment using AI, upskilling and cross-training initiatives, and an enriched wellness program to support Associates both physically and emotionally.

Atrium’s WomenRISE inaugural class included nine participants from across Atrium-managed hotels in Arizona, Florida, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas. WomenRISE class participants received focused training and mentoring to confidently move forward in their hotel career journeys.
