Bhandari brings over 30 years of extensive experience advising and assisting financial sponsors, entrepreneurs, and corporations on some of their most complex capital market financings, debt restructurings, and event-driven corporate actions. In addition, his prior experience as treasurer of a global enterprise brings unique operating and financing expertise associated with multi-jurisdictional financing and investing relationships.
Angeles focuses on revitalizing underperforming industrial businesses with a consistent approach to operational transformation and strategic repositioning. Bhandari will work alongside the Angeles team to identify and structure investments in companies undergoing transformational change or where capital structure complexity has deterred other investors, seek to structure and execute debt and equity capital market transactions, and provide strategic capital structure oversight across the Angeles portfolio companies. Additionally, he will manage and assist in growing the firm’s relationships with public and private market debt investors.

Before joining Angeles Operations Group, Bhandari was Co-head of the Financing Advisory & Restructuring Group at Greenhill & Co. in New York. Before that, he was a Managing Director in the Restructuring Groups at Lazard and GLC Advisors. He also served as a senior executive at Toys “R” Us, where he was recruited to play a central role in its global restructuring process, prior to which he was its Treasurer & Head of Capital Markets. Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Director in the Leveraged Finance Group at Goldman Sachs; before that, he was a Managing Director in the Restructuring Group at UBS and a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in Los Angeles. His transaction experience encompasses global corporate finance activities including event-driven debt and equity financing, M&A transactions, liability management, and corporate restructuring worldwide. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Brown University, an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, and is completing a Master of Studies in Law at the USC Gould School of Law.
