BOSTON--()--Proximie (“the Company”), the leading global health technology platform digitising operating rooms ("OR"), reflects on a stellar year of progress – including record operational and subscription growth, and market advances.

Operationally, Proximie has continued its geographic expansion and global impact - securing key strategic partnerships while cementing its credentials as the market leader in creating intelligent ORs.

Milestones include a global partnership with Olympus Corporation - the medical technology company and market leader in innovative surgical tools and endoscopy systems; and a partnership with Distalmotion – the surgical robotics pioneer and developer of the Dexter surgical robot.

Proximie also secured several multi-year agreements with leading North American Medtech players and global healthcare systems; trebling the number of ORs using Proximie whilst supporting medical device innovation and adoption. Further partnerships with leading global players are expected in 2025.

Proximie’s real time cloud-based operating system - designed for intelligent ORs - helps healthcare systems improve productivity; optimise collaboration; and reveal insights and efficiencies - while supercharging Medtech performance and healthcare innovation.

To capture healthcare data in real-time - the system uses discrete, ambient, edge-to-cloud connectivity alongside integration with medical devices. In turn, this informs AI-powered analytics which are transforming healthcare delivery.

During 2024, Proximie has implemented major enhancements to this best-in-class platform. The platform now enables the healthcare sector to extract structured, useable, real-time data on surgical workflow, whilst also being able to provide connectivity for the 60% of medical devices not currently cloud-enabled or network-connected.

The healthcare sector can now use OR data - via Proximie’s AI-informed OR efficiency optimisation capabilities - to improve OR productivity; reduce unnecessary staff overtime costs; perform more surgeries; and improve variations in care, quality, and safety. Data collected from Proximie’s existing U.S. hospital partners reveals 24% of OR time could be significantly optimised for increased productivity – emphasising how Proximie’s platform can enhance efficiency.

Financial benefits are immediate and significant. Healthcare economics analysis1 shows even a modest productivity gain of 4% per OR can create efficiency savings of over US$1.6 million a year for the average U.S. hospital. New tech capabilities will be added in 2025 – strengthening Proximie’s value add to global healthcare productivity, accessibility, and Medtech innovation.

Dr. Nadine Hachach-Haram, Founder and CEO of Proximie, commented:

“2024 was another incredible year for Proximie. We have partnered with leading healthcare sector players while accelerating our tech innovation; demonstrating value to healthcare systems across the world.

“Other drivers positioning us ideally for 2025 are: enhancements to our edge-to-cloud data capture & processing capabilities; and an even better AI data analytics solution for the OR – driving efficiency. This follows a trebling of OR subscriptions where Proximie’s platform is used – as it becomes the default operating system.”

Improving global access to surgery has been part of Proximie’s mission since inception. In 2024, the Company launched its ‘Share to Care’ Initiative – enabling Proximie’s healthcare system customers to scale efforts to improve global surgical access and training. This is achieved via partnerships with healthcare providers in developing economies - specifically Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Proximie’s global database of recorded and archived surgeries is one of the world’s largest; giving global users access to an unprecedented resource designed to support learning and training.

Proximie is deployed across five continents and is working with hundreds of major medical device organisations and hospitals – creating a truly global impact.
