RMHC Bay Area Welcomes Six New Board Members to Strengthen Mission and Community Engagement

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ronald McDonald House Charities Bay Area (RMHC Bay Area) is thrilled to announce the appointment of six dynamic new members to its Board of Directors. Each brings a unique mix of experience, passion, and commitment to the organization’s mission and programs that remove barriers, strengthen families and promote healing.

The new board members, joining RMHC Bay Area, include:

• Chase Lyman, co-chief real estate officer at the Sobrato Organization and a long-time supporter of RMHC, has co-chaired the RMHC Bay Area Golf Invitational for several years helping to support the mission. His deep connections in the Peninsula and experience in commercial real estate and construction will be invaluable to the board as the charity continually evaluates ways to expand its reach and deepen impact on the families served.
• Kate Scott, chief financial officer at a private equity firm in San Francisco, previously worked at Deloitte and brings significant finance and accounting expertise. As a mother of two young children, Ms. Scott resonates deeply with the RMHC mission and looks forward to engaging the Bay Area community to bolster support for the organization who helps alleviate the financial burden and stress faced by families caring for their sick child.
• Danielle Tarp, vice president of brand, communications and marketing at Oracle NetSuite, has over 15 years of expertise in PR, marketing, and communications. Excited about the prospect of strengthening RMHC’s brand presence, she aims to elevate awareness throughout the Bay Area, particularly in the East Bay.
• Victoria “Tory” Valenzuela, chief legal officer at AppLovin headquartered in Palo Alto, is bringing her extensive legal acumen along with her experience in strategic planning, operations and human resources. Valenzuela is keen to initiate corporate engagement opportunities and is dedicated to supporting the organization’s growth to provide essential support for families with children receiving critical medical care.
• Elaine Weiner, Marketing Chief of Staff at Databricks, also formerly a Marketing Leader at Google/YouTube. A parent of young children, Weiner is passionate about RMHC's mission and eager to expand outreach to potential supporters to help RMHC offer more tools to help families cope throughout their child’s medical journey.
• Matt Zore, MD, an ophthalmologist in Burlingame, understands the crucial role RMHC plays in pediatric healthcare. Dr. Zore is passionate about RMHC programs that provide families with psychosocial support and is enthusiastic about developing strategic partnerships within the healthcare community.
