LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) has selected American Water Resources, an Oncourse Company and a leading provider of home protection plans, as a partner to offer optional water line protection services to local homeowners. LVVWD and American Water Resources have worked together to offer homeowners an exceptionally affordable solution to protect against unexpected and costly water line repairs.
Available for purchase by homeowners serviced by LVVWD, the protection program covers repairs to leaking water service lines that connect LVVWD water meters to residential homes. A driving factor in LVVWD’s decision to partner with American Water Resources is to further conserve the region’s limited water supply by making it more accessible for homeowners to repair leaking water lines on their properties.
In addition, LVVWD will reimburse the cost of the first year of protection for the first 50,000 qualified LVVWD account holders who enroll with American Water Resources, a $47.88 value ($3.99/month).
“Repairing service lines can be costly for homeowners, resulting in deferred repairs and extended leak durations that cause more water to be lost and higher water bills for customers,” said JC Davis, LVVWD Director of Customer Care. “While service line repairs are not typically covered by homeowner insurance policies, we are providing customers the option to purchase this low-cost coverage from American Water Resources to help protect against this type of unexpected repair cost.”
While many water utilities receive financial compensation for this type of partnership, LVVWD chose to forgo compensation to obtain lower program pricing for its customers.
The partnership builds upon the suite of customer assistance programs offered by LVVWD that can save homeowners money while conserving our precious water resources, including programs aimed at providing financial assistance for locating and fixing leaks.
LVVWD chose American Water Resources through a competitive process to strengthen their conservation efforts while ensuring homeowners receive excellent service at low monthly fees with reliable repairs.
“We are excited to partner with the Las Vegas Valley Water District to provide homeowners with affordable programs to help protect themselves against costly water line repairs,” said Aaron Cooper, Chief Executive Officer of Oncourse Home Solutions. “At Oncourse, we take pride in delivering exceptional service with trusted local contractors, 24/7 customer service support, and a proven track record of protecting millions of homeowners nationwide for more than 20 years. The company already serves customers in the Las Vegas area, and has helped them save on repair costs since it began operations in the region.
