NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Braverman Greenspun P.C., a leading law firm in condominium, cooperative, and real estate matters in New York for more than 50 years, announced today that it has acquired Zingman & Associates PLLC, a highly regarded real estate boutique law firm with which Braverman Greenspun has a more-than-decade-long association. The acquisition significantly deepens the firm’s capabilities in landlord-tenant-related issues, one area of focus for Zingman & Associates partners Mitchell Zingman and Cheryl Ginsburg. They join Braverman Greenspun in the same roles.
The two firms are no strangers to each other. Since 2011, the Zingman firm has operated from Braverman Greenspun’s midtown office.
“For years, we’ve had the pleasure of watching Mitchell and Cheryl exercise their ability to resolve the most complex landlord-tenant issues, among other matters,” said Robert Braverman, principal and managing partner of Braverman Greenspun. “We are thrilled to offer their capabilities to our clients, and we know from years of close personal and professional collaboration that their integration into Braverman Greenspun will be seamless.”
Practicing together for nearly 20 years, the lawyers of Zingman & Associates handle landlord-tenant litigation for both commercial and residential properties in disputes calling for the personal attention and sophistication they bring to their engagements. They also represent both owners and tenants in connection with commercial leases and other real estate transactions, including the sale and financing of single and multi-family properties and commercial buildings. Robert Braverman and Mitchell Zingman first met while negotiating a commercial lease across the table from each other more than 15 years ago.
“Braverman Greenspun has unmatched abilities in condominium, cooperative, and related areas, and our highly complementary experience makes the union of our firms very natural,” said Mitchell Zingman. “The great personal and professional respect we have for the lawyers of Braverman Greenspun from working alongside them makes us all the more excited to be joining forces.”
Mitchell Zingman and Cheryl Ginsburg have practiced together since 2006, when Mitchell founded his firm under a different name. Their longtime Legal Assistant, Joseph Siwik, will also be joining Braverman Greenspun.
Mitchell Zingman holds a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Rochester and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. Cheryl Ginsburg holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Brandeis University and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
