LOS ANGELES & LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nextbase, the global leader in dash cam technology, today announced at CES 2025 the launch of the all-new 385GW and 385GWX. These cutting-edge dash cams were created following the success of Nextbase’s 380GW, which is supplied to global automotive partners such as Toyota, Lexus, Kia, Hyundai and VW. The new 385GW Automotive range is designed with a discreet form factor and specifically developed to meet modern-day requirements from OEMs and the automotive sector as a whole.
The products are packed with industry-first features. The latest innovation from Nextbase comes in two models:
- The Nextbase 385GW ($449 USD / $499 CAN MSRP) featuring a 2K resolution Front Cam at 1440p 4MP with crash tested, discreet installation.
- The Nextbase 385GWX ($549 USD / $649 CAN MSRP) which includes the 2K Front Cam plus a 1080p Rear Cam for dual-view recording as standard, meaning drivers can capture every moment while on the road.
Both options include new versions of the innovative, award-winning Nextbase Protection Platform features first introduced to the world by Nextbase last year, taking the core functionality from the world’s smartest dash cams and making it available to vehicle manufacturer customers.
The full list of features includes:
- Guardian Mode Lite – Monitors all drivers’ locations and speed, and tracks when a vehicle is being driven by a family member, staff, valet, or mechanic, automatically saving timestamped, GPS-marked video clips if triggered by an event. Clips can be accessed via the new integrated Nextbase app when connected to local WiFi. So, if a driver is exceeding a set speed limit or location, the footage will be automatically saved, and you will be notified.
- Witness Mode Lite – A voice-activated feature which instantly notifies an emergency contact or designated third party in the event of an accident if Bluetooth is connected when triggered.
- Smart Parking – Triggers recording automatically when the vehicle is knocked and notifies the driver as soon as they’re back within range.
The launch of the 385GW builds upon the expertise of Nextbase Automotive, the company’s dedicated division focused on delivering cutting-edge dash cam solutions directly to the automotive industry. By partnering with leading vehicle manufacturers, including Lexus, Ford, and Volkswagen, Nextbase Automotive develops integrated, vehicle-specific dash cam systems that enhance driver safety and ensure seamless connectivity.
Richard Browning, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer for Nextbase, said: “The 385GW is a testament to Nextbase’s commitment to empowering the automotive sector with innovative, reliable protection solutions. These solutions not only align to many of the design and engineering requirements currently faced by the automotive industry, but also offer an in-demand opportunity to drive high attachment and profit for manufacturers and dealers alike. The 385GW and 385GWX will be available early 2025, with port or dealer installation available. The 385GW model is available at an installed MSRP of $449 USD / $499 CAN, and the 385GWX is available at an installed MSRP of $549 USD / $649 CAN.
The 385GW and 385GWX will debut at CES 2025 in the Nextbase Booth #3516 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the West Hall. For more information visit Nextbase.com.
