LOS ANGELES--()--The Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIASC) is excited to announce that former California State Senator Scott Wilk will serve as its new Senior Executive Vice President for its Los Angeles/Ventura Chapter (LAV).

Scott Wilk served as a California State Senator for the 21st District from 2016 to 2024. Before his Senate tenure, he represented the 38th District in the California State Assembly from 2012 to 2016. Throughout his legislative career, Wilk focused on key issues impacting everyday Californians, particularly housing and economic growth, while fostering bipartisanship.

"Senator Wilk served the State of California with great distinction. His expertise, experience, and strong policy track record will be instrumental in advancing our organization's goals of addressing the ongoing housing policy crisis in Southern California," said BIASC CEO Jeff Montejano.

BIASC is one of the largest building trade associations in the United States, representing the largest home builders, developers, contractors, suppliers, and skilled labor since 1923. The LAV Chapter advocates for pro-housing policies that promote housing attainability, increase awareness about the importance of housing and those who provide it, and facilitate business opportunities.

"I look forward to representing the building leaders with the public and private sectors to help bring common-sense housing solutions for Southern California," said Wilk. "BIASC is a highly reputable organization that continues to lead on housing, and I am happy to be a part of this team."
