Heartland to Drive Greater Awareness of Vital Waste Management Solutions in 2025

End-to-end waste solutions provider continues to lead the national conversation on how cutting-edge, cost-efficient technologies can fuel a sustainable future.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.--()--Heartland, an industry-recognized, end-to-end waste solutions provider that has operated at the intersection of water, renewable energy and resource recovery since 2008, is increasing efforts to raise awareness of vital waste management solutions as the nation prepares for a change in administration. The company anticipates that demand for its cutting-edge technologies will continue to increase, driven by environmental necessity, litigation, organizational risk management and state-led actions. These solutions are not only accretive and cost-competitive, compared to traditional methods, but are also far superior in addressing critical challenges like sustainability, regulatory compliance and resource efficiency.

With its proven, reliable, cost-effective and end-to-end solutions, Heartland mitigates many of the most challenging environmental issues of our time. It converts waste into clean energy through upcycling, and eliminates difficult to treat contaminants including “forever chemicals” (PFAS), power plant wastewater and landfill leachate. Its solutions are currently in use across the country, with numerous new projects set to begin operations by the end of 2025.

“Our vision at Heartland is to actualize a once impossible but now accessible reality in which waste serves as a valuable resource, fueling a sustainable future for industries and communities alike,” said Christopher Beaufait, President and CEO of Heartland. “By pioneering advanced technologies and fostering lasting partnerships, we are driving the shift towards a circular economy where the planet thrives with minimal waste.”

As part of its efforts to lead the national conversation surrounding how to transform waste challenges into sustainable solutions, Heartland leaders delivered presentations at 17 scientific and technical events in 2024, including the Global Waste Management Symposium, the WEF Residuals & Biosolids, WEFTEC and the International Water Conference. The company also released the pivotal whitepapers, “Assured PFAS Destruction of Biosolids via Ultra-High Temperature Plasma Synthesis Reforming” and “Heartland Concentrator™ Emerges as an Effective Method for Assured PFAS Separation,” following thorough, independent and third-party analysis.

In Oct. 2024, Mr. Beaufait participated in the White House Council on Environmental Quality and Climate Policy Office’s Enabling Innovation for Water Security and Climate Resilience Roundtable, where water industry leaders discussed water security and climate resilience.

Heartland will continue presenting at leading conferences and symposiums throughout 2025. In February, it will be hosting webinar Tackling PFAS Challenges: Solutions for Separation, Concentration, and Destruction.
