The Rice Family Foundation Completes 2024 Grant Fund Distributions

HANOVER, Pa.--()--The Rice Family Foundation (“Foundation”) is pleased to announce it has awarded grant funds to sixty-nine nonprofit organizations as part of its 2024 efforts to support community initiatives.

Founded in 2017, The Rice Family Foundation supports eligible nonprofits, primarily located in Hanover, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding area, that dedicate their time, efforts, and resources to foster a better community. The Foundation is supported by financial commitments made by Mike & Jane Rice and Dylan & Stacie Lissette, third and fourth-generation members of the Utz snacks family.

Each year, the Foundation carefully reviews numerous applications to ensure its grants are awarded to exceptional organizations and initiatives that will have the greatest impact on the community.

For 2024, grants from the Rice Family Foundation have been awarded to a diverse group of impactful organizations, each addressing critical needs within the community. Among this year's recipients are God's Meal Barrel, a dedicated food pantry ministry; Anthony's Way Foundation, which empowers children and teens with ADHD; and the Adams Rescue Mission, providing essential services to those most in need. These organizations represent just a few examples of the many outstanding organizations supported this year.

One notable recipient is the Katallasso Family Health Center, a faith-based nonprofit committed to delivering high-quality, licensed healthcare services to uninsured and underinsured residents in York County. Their work exemplifies the foundation's mission of fostering healthier, stronger communities through meaningful partnerships.

Another deserving recipient, Hoffman Homes, offers comprehensive psychiatric care, treatment, and education for children with emotional and behavioral challenges, along with support for their families. “We are grateful for the generous support of the Rice Family Foundation,” said Rebecca Van der Groef, Chief Executive Officer of Hoffman Homes. “Their contribution will play a vital role in renovating several of our kitchen facilities and contribute to the purchase of a new transport vehicle, further enhancing our ability to serve our patients and their families.”

The sixty-nine nonprofit organizations chosen as grant recipients embody individuals and groups' unwavering commitment to providing care, support, and compassion to those facing significant challenges. “We are proud that The Rice Family Foundation could again support these incredible nonprofits this year,” said Stacie Lissette, Director of the Rice Family Foundation.“Their impactful work to help our community is truly inspiring. We hope these efforts motivate others to get involved and extend a helping hand to those most in need.”
