OPEXUS Sweeps NVTC Tech100 Awards with Triple Win

The company, CEO Howard Langsam, and VP of Implementation Mitch Bennett honored by Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Tech100 awards

WASHINGTON--()--OPEXUS, a leading provider of government process management software, received recognition in all three categories of the 2024 Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) Tech100 awards. This is the third consecutive year OPEXUS has been named a Tech100 Company, cementing its status as a regional tech powerhouse and celebrating the operational excellence it enables for its government customers. Further solidifying its leadership, OPEXUS CEO Howard Langsam was named a Tech100 Executive, while Vice President of Implementation Mitch Bennett earned the Tech100 NextGen award for emerging leaders.

The NVTC Tech100 Awards celebrate the most innovative companies, leaders, and emerging talent across Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. A panel of independent judges selects winners based on criteria including groundbreaking technologies, impactful solutions, and contributions to the region's economic growth. OPEXUS's triple win underscores its commitment to developing secure, built-for-government solutions and recognizes the company’s contribution to D.C.'s growth as a tech hub. This year’s NVTC Tech100 list includes 68 companies, 27 executives, and 5 emerging leaders.

"This recognition is a big win for OPEXUS and demonstrates how committed we are to giving government professionals the tools they need to make a difference," says Langsam. "Our vision remains focused on delivering exceptional technology experiences for government professionals. With rising stars like Mitch on board, we are well-positioned to bridge the gap between government challenges and the outcomes that matter the most to them such as efficiency, transparency, and trust in public institutions.”

Since joining OPEXUS three years ago, Langsam has leveraged his extensive background in scaling technology companies to build a customer-focused culture and deliver commercial off-the-shelf software applications that anticipate government users' needs. His leadership resulted in a best-ever sales performance and secured OPEXUS as a 2024 Top Workplace by The Washington Post, further positioning the company as a beacon of innovation in the regional tech community. Bennett, a changemaker in his own right, has redefined product deployment at OPEXUS and launched 22 customers during his short tenure as Vice President of Implementation. By breaking down silos and prioritizing customer experience, Bennett has furthered internal collaboration and best practice sharing, ensuring every customer launch is immediately successful.

“2024 has been a year of tremendous growth for our region’s technology hub, thanks to the dynamic companies and individuals who are innovating and making a positive impact in the world. Their contributions are the reason our region is one of the leading tech hubs in the nation,” said Jennifer Taylor, president and CEO of NVTC. “NVTC congratulates OPEXUS, Howard, and Mitch for going above and beyond within their company and in their respective industries.”

The 2024 NVTC Tech100 celebration will be held December 10, 2024 at Hilton McLean in Tysons Corner, VA. For tickets and more information, visit NVTC Tech100 Celebration.
