DIC to Unveil Omnidirectional Multicopter HAGAMOSphere™, Named as CES Innovation Awards® 2025 Honoree, at CES 2025

TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DIC Corporation (TOKYO:4631) announced today that it will showcase a prototype of its new HAGAMOSphere™ omnidirectional multicopter at CES 2025, one of the world’s most powerful technology event, which will be held from Jan 7 to 10, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Garnering praise from judges for its innovative design and engineering features, this prototype earned DIC designation as a CES Innovation Awards® 2025 Honoree. DIC is honored to receive the CES Innovation Awards for the first time. The prototype has been highly recognized for its outstanding design and engineering since its announcement on November 14, 2024 (U.S. time).

DIC's omnidirectional architecture multirotor, HAGAMOSphere™ is the drone that can move forward, backward, left, and right without tilting the aircraft because eight propellers are mounted diagonally on a cubic frame. A new type of multicopter drone that overturns the conventional wisdom of drones that can move stably on the ground by combining it with a spherical drone guard composed of a combination of geometric shapes using our unique technology.

DIC is a global fine chemical manufacturer with a diverse portfolio of products, including printing inks, pigments, and synthetic resins. Its management vision is "We improve the human condition by safely delivering color and comfort for sustainable prosperity -Color & Comfort-," which seeks to provide color and comfort to society while working to solve social issues and provide new value to society.

Under the concept of "Direct to Society," DIC aims to propose new values to society beyond the framework of conventional chemical manufacturers and creating diverse businesses across industries in an ecosystem. At CES 2025, DIC will introduce "HAGAMOSphere™," its concept model, to capture various social needs and utilize it for future business creation.

“We are delighted to be selected as a CES Innovation Awards 2025 Honoree for the first time as the DIC Group,“ said Takashi Ikeda, President and CEO of DIC. “We have a strong desire to provide new value to society through advanced technologies and initiatives. We look forward to showcasing our unique concept model, HAGAMOSphere™, at CES 2025."

Through this exhibition, the DIC Group aims to widely promote its technology and solutions to relevant industries and propose new value while exploring new business partners.
