PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Smith Micro Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMSI) announces that its white-label SafePath® digital parenting solution is powering the new and groundbreaking TúYo children’s mobile plan launched by Orange Spain (MASORANGE Group) earlier today. Based on Smith Micro’s flagship SafePath Digital Family Lifestyle™ solution, the new TúYo service is the world’s first mobile tariff with built-in protections designed specifically for the development of healthy and responsible digital habits for children at its core.
“Parents across Europe and around the world are grappling with the challenges of navigating the dangers of the internet and effectively limiting their children’s screentime to healthy levels,” said Jonas Jacobsson, Vice President Sales EMEA for Smith Micro. “These issues are top of mind among parents and offering this child-focused solution will enable Orange to deliver a new level of value and trust to its customers. We are proud to deploy the capabilities of our SafePath platform to support this important solution.”
The TúYo tariff plan for children offers three levels of protection for children, each with predefined device limits for things like screen time, night break, and filtered content. Device limits are designed to set healthy digital lifestyle limits as defined by industry experts and the healthcare community. Parents can select the level of protection most appropriate for their child. As an integral part of the carrier solution, every device on the TúYo rate plan will include these SafePath-powered protections.
“We are delighted to launch this innovative parental control service for children that puts parents’ minds at ease. With the TúYo offering, we have addressed customer concerns about children being equipped for a safer experience with their first mobile phone. As a trusted partner, Orange gives everyone the keys to a responsible digital world,” said Angelica Sanchez, Director Mass Market, Orange.
