ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vident Asset Management (“Vident”), a leading provider of a range of asset management and sub-advisory services, is today congratulating its client Brown Advisory on the launch of the Brown Advisory Flexible Equity ETF (BAFE).
BAFE launched on November 18, 2024, with $913 million in assets.
Vident acts as sub-advisor for BAFE, the first ETF from Brown Advisory, a fund designed to provide investors with exposure to domestic equities utilizing Brown Advisory’s proprietary “Flexible Equity” methodology which seeks to provide long-term performance in value names in both growth and value market cycles.
In bringing this fund to market, Brown Advisory and Vident partnered to utilize a 351 transaction to convert a number of Brown’s separately managed accounts into this single new ETF, given the potential that the ETF wrapper has to provide improved tax treatment and other benefits for Brown Advisory clients.
“We are thrilled to help welcome our colleagues at Brown Advisory to the fast-growing ETF ecosystem,” said Amrita Nandakumar, President of Vident. “Both of our firms have a commitment to putting the client first in all that we do, so it has been a true pleasure to work with their team on the journey from idea to launch day. We congratulate them on the launch of BAFE, which adds a powerful new portfolio construction tool to the building blocks available for advisors and investors.”
