MIAMI BEACH, Fla.--()--Lincoln Road, the iconic outdoor shopping, dining and cultural destination in the heart of Miami Beach, is more than a vibrant retail hub; it is a year-round epicenter of art and culture. As part of Art Week Miami Beach, Lincoln Road is presenting new exhibitions in nearly every corner of the district. Visitors can also stop by any of the 15-plus galleries dotting Lincoln Road.

Lincoln Road’s Art Week statement piece will be XO World,” a sculpture by Daniel Anderson inspired by the universal game of jacks, in partnership with the City of Miami Beach. The artwork – over 12 feet high and 24 feet long, made from 20,000 pounds of stainless steel – debuted in 2021 as the “XO World Project” at One World Trade Center in NYC. The “X” of the sculpture, a jack with crossed arms, signifies “love” in sign language. The “O” is represented by a globe, bringing humanity together as one. The work will be unveiled on November 19, on the 400 block and will be displayed through June 30. It invites people to interact with it via social media and “share their love” (crossing their arms to their chest).

“It is an honor to expand the presence of the ‘XO World’ installation’s interactive experience in the global city of Miami Beach – and to do it alongside the XO World Project Foundation, which not only embodies its values but continues to make a sustainable impact on so many in need,” said Anderson. The foundation carries out humanitarian projects that address equal access to health care, water, food and economic empowerment for women.

Lincoln Road will also present “Dream Machine by artist Rubem Robierb. The 10-by-13-foot sculpture invites viewers to place themselves between the butterfly wings and imagine a trip to where dreams come true, creating a metaphorical space that speaks to the power of our minds and the law of attraction. The sculpture will also be revealed on November 19 on the 900 block of Lincoln Road, where it will remain through April 2025.

This is not the first time that Lincoln Road has relocated supersized sculptures to the district. In 2023, “R-Evolution™,” a 45-foot-tall, 32,000-pound kinetic sculpture by Marco Cochrane, traveled “from Burning Man to Basel” in partnership with the City of Miami Beach.

Through December 31, Lincoln Road will also house Beauty, a pop-up gallery at 1655 Meridian Ave. featuring artwork by Jordi Mollà (known for his roles in Blow and Bad Boys II). Mollà explores the concept of beauty, celebrating life and nature. For appointments, contact Giuseppe Ferlito via WhatsApp at +39 335.830.0988.

“Lincoln Road has been a cultural hub in Miami Beach for over six decades, home to more galleries and artistic offerings than any other pedestrian street in the world,” said Anabel Llopis, executive director of the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District. “The BID and the community are committed to preserving Lincoln Road’s legacy as a year-round leader in Miami Beach’s cultural landscape.”

About the Lincoln Road District

Situated in the heart of Miami Beach, the Lincoln Road District is a premier retail, lifestyle and cultural destination that is home to about 200 restaurants and shops, entertainment, and arts and cultural offerings. Lincoln Road ranked as the most-visited open-air destination in South Florida, with over 10 million visits in 2023. Affectionately referred to by some as “Miami’s living room,” there is nothing as quintessentially Miami Beach as Lincoln Road. It’s the street where models walk their dogs after runway shows, where stylish boulevardiers stroll past window shoppers, and where café culture overrules standard business meetings. Music and entertainment lovers will find refuge in the Lincoln Road District, home to the New World Symphony, Oolite Arts and Colony Theatre. Steps away is the Miami Beach Convention Center, which welcomes world-renowned Art Basel Miami Beach every December. For more information, visit lincolnroad.com or follow on Instagram.
