QAD Announces 2024 Customer Award Winners at Transform Events

The QAD Customer Awards recognize visionary customers in the QAD community who are uniting their people, processes and systems to innovate, optimize and succeed in a changing world. The winners have demonstrated a holistic approach to enabling operational excellence and world-class productivity on their journeys to becoming Adaptive Enterprises.

The 2024 Award categories and winners include:

Agility Award - This award recognizes a customer who takes a comprehensive approach to optimizing people, processes and systems to adapt the agility of their business and processes to rapidly changing market conditions.

  • Moog Medical underscored the importance as a medical device manufacturer in keeping its software up to date by recently upgrading to QAD Adaptive ERP at four locations across three different countries, simultaneously, to improve its user experience, create more efficient processes and ensure security in the QAD Cloud.

Ambassador Award - This award recognizes an individual customer who has served as a valuable reference for their QAD experience. They have consistently shared their stories with peer QAD customers and potential customers, further enhancing the QAD ecosystem.

  • Sukhiminder Dhuck, Emerson Automation Solutions is a significant ambassador of QAD, promoting awareness within the supply chain community of QAD Global Trade and Transportation Execution (GTTE), which Emerson runs at more than 200 sites around the world.
  • Roland Raith, Magna Steyr has had a significant impact on the development of QAD Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), working closely with QAD Product Management to further develop the solution. Roland is also a strong champion of the solution among peers.
  • Heidi Evilampi, Oras Group has served as a powerful QAD advocate for many years, sharing her experiences related to Oras’ use of QAD in the cloud with colleagues and raising the profile of QAD with analysts.
  • Andrew Amstutz, Autokiniton has been a dedicated champion of QAD for many years, elevating the standing of QAD in the minds of customers and analysts by sharing his successes with QAD ERP and QAD EQMS and serving as president of the QAD Midwest User Group.
  • Jon Smith, Lacks is an important supporter of QAD, with his willingness and availability to contribute to the growth of the QAD community and share his experiences with QAD ERP, QAD Automation Solutions and QAD Production Execution.
  • French Williams, Royal Technologies is a strong ambassador for QAD, dedicated to sharing his knowledge and expertise with customers and providing valuable feedback to QAD as Royal Technologies recently went live with a QAD EQMS upgrade and is transforming its business with QAD ERP, QAD DSCP and QAD GTTE.

Business Transformation - This award recognizes a customer leading their industry and transforming their business processes through the design, development and/or implementation of digital transformation technologies.

  • KION is currently undergoing a significant business transformation process as it develops innovative solutions today that will shape the warehouse logistics of tomorrow. Supported by its technology partnership with QAD SRM, KION has achieved significant results, such as a 90% reduction in RFQ creation time and 32% cost savings.
  • With research and innovation at the heart of its strategy, Saint-Gobain is transforming their workforce, processes and systems for adaptive efficiency by running QAD at more than 100 plants around the world with little to no customizations, upgrading to QAD Adaptive ERP.
  • TS Tech has transformed its business by fostering a culture of supply chain excellence through an exemplary MMOG/LE implementation, supported by QAD Automotive Director Terry Onica. This project has enabled the automotive manufacturer to attract new customers, improve inventory turnover ratios to near-benchmark levels at its Tier 1 facilities, and achieve significant cost savings.
  • Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Customer Channels Group is constantly exploring how to use QAD's applications to help them strengthen their trade compliance program for both imports and exports. The use of digital tools QAD offers assists in these efforts. The Customer Channels Group recently optimized its processes by upgrading and moving its on-premise instance of QAD GTTE for Exports to the QAD Cloud.

Collaborative Culture Award - This award recognizes a customer who fosters a collaborative culture among its employees by using QAD solutions to empower workers to generate new ideas for problem solving together.

  • Amtico is one of the first General Manufacturing sites to deploy QAD Redzone Connected Workforce in the United Kingdom. The longstanding QAD ERP customer recently implemented the Productivity and Compliance modules to enable greater collaboration among employees, achieving a 16% OEE increase in their manufacturing area and 14% in their finishing area.
  • The Jel Sert Company utilizes both QAD ERP and QAD Redzone Connected Workforce to foster a collaborative culture among its employees and generate new ideas for problem solving. Using the two solutions together to complement each other and shape the way the company ensures success across operations, quality and maintenance, Jel Sert achieved a 9% OEE improvement within its first 90 days of implementing QAD Redzone and continues to realize cost savings.

Continuous Improvement Award - This award recognizes a customer who has demonstrated a culture of continuous improvement with workers committed to questioning status-quo processes and finding new ways to accomplish goals and drive significant results.

  • ThyssenKrupp Bilstein has demonstrated its commitment to continuously improve on its mission to shape the present and future of chassis engineering by growing from using a relatively small scope of QAD SRM to adding more use cases and onboarding more supplier and internal departments to optimize solution usage and efficacy.
  • Beckett Air is committed to improving its overall efficiency and quality through the complementary use of QAD ERP and QAD Redzone Connected Workforce. The airflow component manufacturer has improved overall operational excellence and quality through the creation of new standard work, achieving a productivity uplift of 11% soon after implementing QAD Redzone.

Rapid Achiever - This award recognizes a customer who has achieved significant business value quickly by deploying QAD solutions rapidly.

  • Asteelflash, on a significant growth plan to double its revenue, is able to roll out its QAD ERP core model to new factories and facilities in a matter of months. The EMS customer recently completed a lift and shift to the QAD Cloud with the support of QAD Professional Services and an experienced, highly skilled team.
  • Clarios, a global leader in low-voltage battery technologies for mobility, swiftly and successfully upgraded QAD ERP systems across North America, South America and the Asia Pacific region. The award celebrates Clarios’ exceptional achievement and highlights the critical partnership and support from QAD to help achieve this ambitious upgrade on an accelerated timeline.
  • Saint-Gobain is rapidly deploying QAD Adaptive ERP and QAD EQMS at many sites to support its mission of making the world a better home. The company’s Mobility-Engineering Components division recently rapidly rolled out QAD EQMS to optimize manufacturing performance, comply with industry standards and manage risks.

Sustainability Award - This award recognizes a customer that uses QAD solutions to support sustainability initiatives in their operations, furthering environmental initiatives as part of their business strategy, and works toward building a more sustainable future.

  • Aiming to reduce emissions across the entire production network by 90% by 2030, Schmitz Cargobull leverages QAD SRM to help fulfill Supply Chain Due Diligence obligations by consolidating risk information with suppliers.
