SAN RAMON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Armanino, a top 20 consulting and accounting firm, is proud to earn recognition with the 2024 MOVE Project Award as a Best Firm for Women and Equity Leadership. Presented by the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance and the Accounting MOVE Project, this prestigious award recognizes firms that actively create opportunities for women to prosper in the accounting profession and lead the way in equity and inclusion.
Since launching its women’s initiative, The Bridge, in 2016, Armanino has made dramatic increases in its female partner ratios growing over 300% and who now make up a third of partners. The Bridge has initiated programs to advance women in their career and pursue leadership roles, from intern to partner, through mentorship programs, influencer support networks, and educational resources.
"We're incredibly proud to receive this recognition, which reflects our commitment to promoting women in leadership and building a culture that is equitable and inclusive," said Matt Armanino, CEO of Armanino Advisory LLC. "Our firm’s success is only as strong as our people, and we see immense value in not just creating exciting pathways but benefiting from a diverse and welcoming workforce that promotes open discussion from an array of unique perspectives. Beyond that, our goal is to cultivate an inclusive workplace where all individuals can thrive and be supported by resources designed to encourage fulfilling career paths."
In 2024, for the third consecutive year, women made up 50% or more of Armanino’s new partner class. Leadership programs like Pathway to Partner and the Executive Access Program (EAP) are integral to creating opportunities for women to showcase their leadership abilities and help close the gender gap. Additionally, the EAP has expanded, with support from the Inclusion of Diverse Employees and Leaders (IDEAL) team, to include underrepresented communities, providing these professionals with executive mentorship to further their career growth.
“By being intentional about how we design ways to support our team, we are gaining a more nuanced understanding of each member’s needs, rather than relying on broad groupings based on shared characteristics," said Sharon Bhalaru, partner at Armanino and Board Chair of the Bridge. "Our approach, whether through The Bridge, or other initiatives, has led to a more comprehensive development and support process, fostering a workplace culture where authenticity and inclusivity are at the forefront, and individuality is truly valued."
Armanino’s commitment to diversity and inclusion has played a pivotal role in the firm’s success. The MOVE Project Award is a testament to the organization’s dedication to creating an equitable workplace where every employee has the opportunity to thrive.
