FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Impact Health Sharing (Impact), based in Davie, Florida, announces it has surpassed $22 Million in payments of its members’ eligible medical bills while expanding membership benefits to include a new dental and vision discount program and a new health and wholeness program.
The dental and vision discount program, offered through partnerships with Careington and VSP, features access to a nationwide network of providers. It provides affordable, transparent pricing on dental services, eye care and eyewear.
The new health and wholeness program helps offset Impact members’ costs of health and wellness services by providing a monthly credit of up to $100 – $1,200 a year – towards a household’s Primary Responsibility Amount. (A PRA is similar to an annual deductible.) Eligible expenditures include supplements, gym memberships, acupuncture and naturopathic services and medications.
“Impact Health Sharing is a member-centric organization,” says Phil Chrysler, President and CEO of Impact. “We continue to invest in our members by adding additional programs like these that support a commitment to wellness and healthy living.”
Both current and new Impact members can enroll in these programs at no additional cost. “We’re able to do this because of our strong financial health,” says Phil. “Impact has nearly ten months of distributed reserves on hand.” (Distributed reserves are the funds held in members’ accounts to pay eligible medical bills.)
“We believe that the preventative path is the successful path,” he adds.
