Strategic Deal Broadens Curiosity’s Footprint across China, Hong Kong, and Macau

SILVER SPRING, Md.--()--Ahead of MIPCOM 2024, Curiosity Inc. (NASDAQ: CURI) – the global media company known for its award-winning documentary features, factual entertainment, and specialist factual content – is thrilled to announce a strategic distribution partnership with Off The Fence, the non-fiction production and distribution powerhouse with offices across four major cities and a catalog of over 6000 hours of quality programming.

The collaboration supports the licensing of part of Curiosity Stream’s content portfolio in China, Hong Kong, and Macau, bringing 56 unique titles, amounting to 148 hours of premium factual content, to audiences across these territories through various platforms. The deal encompasses a diverse range of programming, from short-form documentary series to premium long-form content.

Key titles include:

  • Breakthrough (83 episodes): A comprehensive exploration of recent developments in physics, astronomy, and other sciences.
  • Bright Now (72 episodes): An enlightening series examining advances in technology, challenging global issues, pivotal historical moments, and the fascinating individuals driving change.
  • Tracker’s Diary: Bears of Katmai (6x30) in which we follow filmmaker Casey Anderson as he embeds himself among the world's largest terrestrial carnivores in Alaska's extreme backcountry.
  • Connections with James Burke (6x60): A modern revival of the landmark series, utilizing state-of-the-art CGI and virtual reality to explore the interconnections of knowledge throughout history.
  • Stephen Hawking's Favorite Places (3x30): An extraordinary CGI journey through the universe with the legendary physicist.
  • Titans: The Rise of Hollywood (6x50): A high-budget, fully scripted docu-drama series chronicling the battles between future media moguls as they competed for dominance in the nascent motion picture industry.
